A bodyguard of British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has been suspended after allegedly leaving a gun in a plane yesterday. The police are investigating. “We are taking this matter extremely seriously,” a spokesman said broadcaster BBC.
Newspaper The Sun reports that a cleaner found a loaded Glock 19 pistol holstered on a seat on the United Airlines plane. The cleaner raised the alarm, whereupon the police boarded the plane and found that the weapon belonged to Raab’s bodyguard.
There was a similar incident in February. An investigation was then opened into a bodyguard belonging to former Prime Minister David Cameron, who allegedly left his gun in an airplane toilet.
