London, United Kingdom (CNN)– Britain’s King Charles III entered a hospital in London, on Friday, to be treated for an enlarged prostate.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement that the king arrived at the hospital “to receive scheduled treatment.”
Buckingham Palace added in a statement: “The King was admitted this morning to a London hospital to receive scheduled treatment. His Majesty would like to thank all those who sent their well wishes over the past week, and is pleased to know that his diagnosis will have a positive impact on public health awareness.”
Buckingham Palace announced earlier this January that British King Charles III would be admitted to hospital next week to receive treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The Buckingham Palace statement said: “Like thousands of men every year, the King is seeking treatment for an enlarged prostate. His Majesty’s condition is benign and he will be admitted to hospital next week. The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period to recover.”
