British TV presenter Piers Morgan’s Twitter account was emptied on Tuesday after it was announced earlier in the day that the account had been hacked.
Tweets containing misinformation and racist statements appeared on Morgan’s account Tuesday, it reports The Guardian. Singer Ed Sheeran and the late British Queen Elizabeth were also insulted.
Hackers also got into conversation with followers via the British journalist’s account. Also, they changed their profile name and account photo several times.
Morgan made it through his TV show’s Twitter account Uncensored he confessed that he is not behind these tweets. “In case you were wondering, Piers Morgan has been hacked. There is some chance of recovering him,” reads a tweet directed at Twitter owner Elon Musk.
Meanwhile, no messages and profile pictures are visible with the account anymore. However, the account still has its 8.3 million followers.
