Russian reservists mobilized in the war in Ukraine are killed “in large numbers”. The latest British military intelligence report says so.
“The mobilized reservists most likely suffered particularly heavy losses, having been busy digging ambitious trench systems while under artillery shelling around the city of Svatovo in the Luhansk region,” the British Defense Ministry said.
It adds that many were probably killed in the Donetsk region in “frontal attacks on consolidated Ukrainian defense zones around the city of Bakhmut”.
The department also says it is very likely that the medical conditions of the reservists are not adequately evaluated, therefore many of them are forced to serve with “serious and chronic illnesses”.
