British intelligence counted dead Russian generals in the war

We are talking about the dismissal of the commanders of the Eastern and Western military districts of Russia. Ten Russian generals were killed.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, at least six Russian commanders have been fired and 10 Russian generals have died. About it informs British intelligence.

The poor performance of the Russian military during the invasion of Ukraine has cost the Russian military leadership dearly, likely leading to the dismissal of at least six Russian commanders since the outbreak of hostilities in February 2022.

We are talking about the dismissal of the commanders of the Eastern and Western military districts of Russia.

It is noted that Colonel General Alexander Chaiko was dismissed from the post of commander of the Eastern Military District in May 2022. And Colonel General Alexander Zhuravlev, commander of the Western Military District since 2018, was absent from the celebration of Russian Navy Day in St. Petersburg on July 31, 2022, and, most likely, he was replaced by Lieutenant General Vladimir Kochetkov.

In addition, General Oleksandr Dvornikov was removed after he received overall command of the operation in Ukraine, and General Sergei Surovikin took over command of the Southern Group of Forces from General Gennady Zhidko.

“These layoffs are exacerbated by the fact that at least 10 Russian generals have died on the battlefield in Ukraine. The cumulative impact on command coherence is likely to exacerbate Russia’s tactical and operational problems,” the UK Defense Ministry said in a report.

Recall that in June, the commander of the “1st army corps of the DPR” died in the Donetsk region Major General Roman Kutuzovwho personally led the attack.

It was also reported that the armed forces of Ukraine destroyed two Russian generals on the territory of the Kherson region.
