British intelligence assessed the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces

According to the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, the offensive of Russian troops near Vuhledar has bogged down. The invaders carried out an unsuccessful assault and fled from the battlefield, leaving dozens of pieces of equipment.

Russian troops probably achieved tactical success in Bamut, having managed to advance 2-3 km to the west. British intelligence notes that near Bakhmut, units of the PMC “Wagner” advanced on the northern outskirts of the settlement up to three kilometers, taking control of the highway near the main highway M-03. This road is one of the key ones for supply, as it connects Bakhmut and Slavyansk.

“Russian forces are increasingly dominating the northern approaches to Bakhmut,” intelligence reports.

At the same time, a different situation is observed near Ugledar, where the invaders have recently tried to conduct offensive operations at the end of January this year. According to the British Ministry of Defense, Russian units in this direction are likely to have suffered especially heavy losses, as the command of the Russian Armed Forces sent inexperienced soldiers into battle. As a result, the occupants fled, leaving dozens of pieces of military equipment.

“Russian troops likely fled and abandoned at least 30 virtually intact armored vehicles in one incident after an unsuccessful assault,” the Defense Ministry said.
