As reported The Daily Star Sunday, May 29, 2022, MI6 officials said Putin died from a serious illness for a long time. However, Putin’s colleagues hid the news and will keep it secret for as long as possible.
“Putin is seriously ill and when he dies his death will be kept secret for weeks, if not months. There was also the possibility that he was already dead. It’s impossible to know. It is believed that Putin used a substitute body earlier when he was in an unwell and the Kremlin is doing it now,” an MI6 official said.
An MI6 source told Daily Star, Putin’s recent appearance was likely recorded while still alive. Or, there are people who look like and appear as Putin. It is suspected that a Putin-like figure was present at public events such as the Victory Day commemoration earlier this month.
According to an MI6 source, the reason why Kremlin cronies hid Putin’s death was fear of a power struggle.
The 69-year-old’s health condition is known to have deteriorated in recent months. Putin looked less mobile and his face swelled up. Some observers have suggested that Putin may have blood cancer. His swollen face is believed to be the result of using steroids in cancer treatment.
