British government orders 11,000 iPhone SE for one of its departments

Large bulk order of iPhone SE in UK. The government will spend 4.18 million pounds (4.78 million euros) to equip the Department of Work and Pensions with 11,000 iPhone SE 64 GB, reports the site Public Technology.

The order was not placed with Apple directly, but with XMA, a specialist in terminal deployments in organizations. The Department of Work and Pensions has also contracted 4.25 million pounds with another company, Bramble Hub, to have support for IBM applications for two years.

Apple and IBM joined forces in 2014 to gain a foothold in the large account market.
