British Foreign Secretary Warns of Difficulties for Ukraine’s Counter-Offensive

When Ukraine launches a counter-offensive, one should not expect an easy and quick victory in the war. This was stated by British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley, speaking in Washington before members of the Atlantic Council.

“War is not a Hollywood movie” the minister said.

Kyiv has exceeded all conceivable expectations since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, but Britain and its allies must be realistic and not lose their resolve in case Vladimir Putin contemplate escalating the conflict.

James Cleverly made it clear that London was ready to provide the Kyiv regime with additional and broader military assistance.

“We need to bring this conflict to an end – and do it quickly,” the BBC Russian Service quoted the minister as saying. “From our point of view, Ukraine must win, and for this we must provide it with the necessary tools.”
