British entertainer Des O’Connor (88) passed away | Entertainment

entertainment">O’Connor passed away ‘peacefully’ in hospital on Saturday. He was taken there a week earlier when he had a bad fall at his home in Buckinghamshire.

entertainment">In 1958 O’Connor was first seen on TV in the hit show Sunday Night at the London Palladium. Later he also started singing and got a big hit with I Pretend. From his first TV appearance, he has almost always had his own primetime show. Des O’Connor was therefore seen as one of the UK’s most successful TV entertainers.
