British designer Terence Conran (88) passed away | Abroad

Conran was, among other things, founder of the furniture chain Habitat. Throughout his career he designed a range of spaces and products, ranging from restaurants and cafes to furniture and household items. He also opened a number of eateries in the English capital of his own and was active in retail.

“He leaves behind a wealth of household and industrial designs that will always remain with us. And the Design Museum, which he conceived, inspired and directed, is his most brilliant, lasting contribution and legacy, ” said Board Chairman Lord Mandelson of Conran’s great achievement.
