British Culture Minister now also wants Netflix to mention that ‘The Crown’ is fiction | TV

The show, according to Dowden, is “a beautifully produced fictional work”. However, as with other TV series, Netflix must clearly state in a warning message that it is fiction. “Without that mention, I fear that the generation of viewers who have not witnessed these events will think they are facts.”

Dowden’s comment follows increased criticism from royalty reporters and other politicians on “untruths” in ‘The Crown’. That followed after the release of the fourth season on November 15. In the new series, the difficult relationship of Prince Charles and Diana is discussed and the Eating Disorder of the princess.

Despite the criticism, the series is extremely popular. Last week, 29 million people watched the series, according to British media.
