British bank accidentally deposits ‘Christmas bonus’ of 155 million on 75,000 accounts | Abroad

The bank, which is a subsidiary of Spain’s Banco Santander, has assured customers that no one has been harmed by the error and that it is working hard to recover payments made incorrectly.

That is not an easy task, according to British media, because many payments have been made to accounts of other banks and institutions. It would also be difficult to recover money from people or institutions that already spent it over the Christmas holidays.
