The first asylum seekers have already received official notifications to this effect. Legal proceedings against the British measure are expected to be launched in the coming days. The plan has been heavily criticized by refugee organizations and politicians, with the authoritative Archbishop of Canterbury even calling it “the opposite of the very nature of God.”
