British Airways said in a statement that safety remains its top priority. “We are closely monitoring the situation in the US and will continue to review our flight schedule in the coming hours,” it said. “Customers will be notified of any changes to their flight plans as soon as possible,” the airline said.
For some flights, which were planned with Boeing 777s, other, larger aircraft such as the Airbus A380 are now being used to ensure that people still get to their destination.
