British airline goes out of business; Flights of 75 thousand passengers were cancelled

The airline “Flybe” has canceled all flights to and from the United Kingdom, according to the BBC.

On Saturday, about 2,500 passengers were supposed to fly with “Flybe”, but in total, 75,000 passengers had bought tickets for the next flights. “Flybe” does not promise to help passengers organize alternative flights.

Flybe’s administrator confirmed that 277 company employees will be laid off.

Financial consulting firm Interpath announced that the rest of the company’s staff – that is, 44 employees – will be retained.

The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said it will provide advice and information to passengers whose flights have been cancelled.
