The film ‘Best Sellers’ was his last, he said on a BBC radio program on Saturday. Later in the day, he announced that he would not be retiring after all. – jvhSource: BELGIAN Today at 22:22— The 88-year-old British icon told the BBC that he made his decision to quit acting because roles are not something to boast of for someone his age, and because his health is poor. “I have problems with my spine and it extends to my legs. I can’t walk well because of that.” “I have written a number of successful books. So I no longer see myself as an actor but as an author. That’s great because as an actor you have to get up at 5:30 in the morning and go to the studio, but as a writer you can just start without getting out of bed,” says Caine. Afterwards, however, he told Variety that he is not throwing away his alarm clock just yet. In the radio interview, too, Caine had hinted that he did not want to disappear from the public stage entirely. He would certainly bite if he was “asked for a part of 3 or 4 minutes by director Christopher Nolan”. He most recently appeared in his films ‘Dunkirk’ (2017) and ‘Tenet’ (2020). In ‘Best Sellers’ Caine plays a grumpy author who reluctantly goes on tour. The two-time Oscar winner has had a career spanning more than sixty years. — Related posts:Adam Harrison, 'Pawn Stars' Participant, Dies at 39 from Fatal Overdose: Las Vegas Police Investigat...The March full moon threatens digestion.
