Journalist from Kiev: the soldiers do not believe that they will escape the war. Putin does not need Donbass. He needs the whole of Ukraine!
Russia has concentrated some 100,000 troops on Ukraine’s borders, raising concerns about a possible attack on a neighboring country.
The British government will introduce a new sanctions law this week that will spread the word about Russia’s economic goals in an attempt to deter Moscow from re-attacking Ukraine, British Foreign Secretary Lisa Trass said on Sunday.
The new law will expand the range of instruments available to crack down on “all companies interested in the Kremlin and the Russian regime,” a senior British diplomat said.
She also said that Europe’s allies must remain united in their efforts to deter Russia, but that “the protection of freedom and democracy” must take precedence over immediate financial issues.
