British Minister for the Armed Forces James Hippie announced the imminent transfer of British Brimstone missiles. About it informs Air force.

One of the obstacles to the transfer is the search for the most effective platform for the installation of anti-ship missiles. Now, according to the Deputy Minister, progress has been achieved in this matter. Therefore, in the coming weeks, Brimstone missiles will be transferred to the armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What are Brimstone missiles

British missiles exist in two versions – ground-to-ground and air-to-ground. Depending on the version, the range can be 60 km (when launched from an aircraft) or 10-12 km (when launched from the ground). The missile is equipped with a homing head, which is capable of capturing targets.

At the same time, Brimstone Sea Spear is being tested on offshore platforms in the UK.

Recall that on April 20 in Britain already declared their readiness to transfer Brimstone missilesbut there were technical difficulties in installing missiles on ground vehicles.

At the end of last year it was reported that all boats of the Gyurza and Centaur types will be equipped with British Brimstone missiles.
