Britain Supports Ukraine In Attacking Russia’s Territory

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

English support Ukraine storming back territory Russia and has no problem using the weapons the Boris Johnson administration has given him.

Britain’s Minister for the Armed Forces, James Heappey, said Ukraine was a sovereign nation that lived peacefully within its owners’ borders, and then other countries decided to violate that border and bring 130 troops into their country.

“A war has started between Ukraine and Russia. In a war Ukraine needs to attack the enemy’s territory, whether it’s logistics routes, fuel supplies, ammunition depots or something else,” Heappey told reporters. Times Radio quoted The GuardianWednesday (26/4).

He further said, “It is absolutely legal for Ukraine to target Russian territory to disrupt logistics, which if not disrupted will result in deaths and massacres in Ukraine.”

Heappey also does not mind if Ukrainian troops use the weapons used to pound Russia back.

According to him, there are many countries that use weapons packages imported from other countries.

“When our weapons packages are used, we tend not to blame [negara] who produced it. You blame the country that issued it,” Heappey said.

Ukraine, he added, would have the opportunity to expel Russian troops.

In response to Heappey’s comments, Russia warned Britain if it continued to assist Ukraine there would be a “proportionate response” as soon as possible.

Russia continues to intensify attacks in eastern Ukraine or the so-called phase two war. Heappy has his own opinion about the Kremlin’s military maneuvers.

“It’s much more balanced. Ukraine has the advantage of a defensive position it has prepared for the last eight years. And that will overwhelm Russia,” he said.

Support from various countries can also be ammunition that Ukraine succeeded in defeating Russian troops, he continued.

Earlier, Heappey said Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, was determined to claim victory ahead of Russia’s Great Day celebrations on May 9.

The plan, he said, was clearly time-consuming and it could be that Russia made a mistake.

“Putin’s political pressure and display of arrogance, his desire to stand on the steps of the Kremlin on May 9 and become a hero, means that thousands of Russian lives will be lost, and Russia will be lost,” Heappey said.

Ukraine is entering the rainy season, and these conditions are said to be not conducive to heavy maneuvering of Russian troops.
