MOSCOW – London supports Ukraine to invade back Russia with British guns. Moscow described London’s move as a provocation that could trigger a proportionate response.

Earlier, British Armed Forces Secretary James Heappey said London was supporting Ukraine to attack logistics sites on Russian soil using London weapons.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that it had taken note of Heappey’s comments.

“We would like to emphasize that London’s direct provocation of the Kiev regime for such an action, if it is implemented, will lead to an immediate and proportionate response by Russia,” the ministry was quoted as saying. SputnikWednesday (27/4/2022).

“As we have warned, the Russian Armed Forces are on standby around the clock to launch a long-range counterattack with [senjata] precision to the relevant decision-making center in Kiev,” the ministry continued.

The Russian Defense Ministry warned that Western military advisers known to be present at these locations would not necessarily be a problem in Russia’s decision-making on retaliatory measures.

Heappey said London would consider it acceptable for British-supplied weapons to be used by Ukraine to carry out attacks on Russian soil.

“The question is, is it acceptable for our weapons systems to be used against legitimate Russian military targets by Ukraine. First, it was Ukraine that made the targeting decisions, not the one who produced or exported the kits in the first place. And second, it’s completely legal to pursue military targets in the depths of your opponents to disrupt their logistics and supply lines,” he said in an interview with BBC.
