A nurse at Chester Hospital in West england, was arrested and charged Wednesday with eight murders and ten attempted murders of babies, local police said in a statement.
“Prosecutor’s Office has authorized Cheshire Police to charge health worker with murder as part of ongoing investigation into number of baby deaths” in the neonatal unit at Chester Hospital, the statement said.
Lucie Letby, 30-year-old nurse, charged with 8 murders and 10 attempted murders “Over the period from June 2015 to June 2016”, specifies the local police.
The young woman, who had already been arrested without further action by the police in 2018 and 2019, a “Was arrested again on Tuesday 10 November and has since been charged”.
Kept in custody, she will appear Thursday in Warrington court, located about thirty kilometers from Chester.
