The British Meteorological Service issued a red warning on Thursday of an impending storm in June, saying it could be life-threatening.

The June is currently moving across the Atlantic and Britain is expected to hit on Friday, causing dangerous conditions and damage, the National Meteorological Service warned.

The Irish Meteorological Service has also issued a warning of an impending storm, indicating strong and devastating winds and possible coastal flooding.

The “June” follows the “Dudley” storm, which caused traffic jams in Britain on Wednesday, but did not cause extensive damage.

The British government has convened an extraordinary Cobra meeting to discuss the two storms and their response.

The British Meteorological Service warned that June could tear down roofs, uproot trees and cut power lines. The worst weather is forecast by the service in the south-west of England.

The storm is also likely to close roads, railways and bridges, disrupting buses, trains and ferries. Air traffic is also likely to be disrupted.

A red warning of dangerous weather is in place in Cornwall, the south-west coast of England and the south of Wales.
