Britain committed to reconciling Israel with Iran

British Foreign Minister David Lammy called his colleagues from Israel and Iran in order to reduce tensions between the countries. He pointed out the pointlessness of a major regional war.

The head of British diplomacy, David Lammy, spoke about closed negotiations with his Israeli counterpart Israel Katz and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi. Lammy contacted them to help reduce tensions in the Middle East conflict. The need for this arose after the Israeli air raid on Iran.

“Today I held important talks with Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz and Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi. The UK continues to push for a reduction in tensions and an end to the conflicts in Lebanon and Gaza.”

The British minister emphasized that from London’s point of view, a large-scale Middle Eastern war does not have any beneficiaries, and can only end in catastrophic consequences.

Let us recall that on the night of Saturday, October 26, the IDF carried out a raid on Iran, where it dropped bombs on military installations of the IRGC. Four Iranian soldiers are known to have died.
