Bripda Randy, who is a member of the Pasuruan Police, was arrested for deliberately ordering Novia to have two abortions. Novia who lives in Japan Village, Sooko District, Mojokerto Regency finally chose to end her life on Thursday afternoon (2/12/2021).

East Java Regional Police Deputy, Brigadier General Slamet Hadi Supraptoyo, explained that after this case went viral, the police immediately carried out an investigation carried out by a joint team from the Mojokerto Police and the East Java Police Directorate General.
The police immediately conducted an examination of Bripda Randy. From the results of the examination, it was known that Randy and Novia met at an event opening a distribution store in Malang in October 2019. Then they exchanged cellphone numbers and started dating.
“When they were dating, they had a relationship like husband and wife in their various boarding houses in Malang and hotels,” said the Deputy Chief of Police during a press conference at the Mojokerto Police, Saturday night (4/12/2021).
Until finally Novia was pregnant twice. Furthermore, in March 2021 and August 2021, Bripda Randy ordered Novia to abort the pregnancy with special drugs.

For his actions, Bripda Randy was immediately arrested and charged with Article 348 of the Criminal Code junto Article 55 of the Criminal Code regarding intentionally aborting or killing a fetus with a threat of five years in prison. The police will also carry out a criminal process for the trial of the code of ethics against Bripda Randy, who is threatened with dismissal.
