Jakarta –
PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto say PDIP still open dialogue with NasDem about the interests of the nation and the state. However, Hasto said the two had different paths regarding the presidential candidate.
Hasto answered that when asked about the opportunity to have a dialogue with NasDem in the future. He mentioned that PDIP actually still met before NasDem nominated Anies Baswedan.
“NasDem then nominated Mr. Anies Baswedan as the presidential candidate from NasDem, then Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri in her party’s birthday speech emphasized that the presidential candidate from the PDIP Party came from party cadres,” Hasto told reporters at Lebak square, Banten, Sunday ( 19/2/2023).
“I think that in such a context the candidate nominated by Nasdem and the candidate supported by PDI Perjuangan from the indicators in the remarks of the General Chairperson seem to be different,” he continued.
Because of that, Hasto said that PDIP would wait for dialogue on what NasDem might offer. If the dialogue is about nation and state, he ensures that the PDIP is open.
“If the dialogue is in the interest of the nation and the state, the PDI Perjuangan is always welcome. If the dialogue is in the context of presidential and vice presidential candidates, there seems to be a difference,” he said.
Furthermore, Hasto reasoned that the figures nominated by NasDem were also different from Jokowi. He said Anies was against Jokowi.
“Moreover, Pak Anies has repeatedly been called the antithesis of Pak Jokowi, so it must be different. If in Banten, Pak Jokowi wants to build a toll road to the end of Kulon, if led by Pak Anies it is different,” he said.
