In Pokémon GO, the events were announced for March 2021. So there are new hours of attention, raid bosses and a breakthrough in research.
That was revealed: A new season in Pokémon GO begins in March and there will be plenty of events to match. Niantic now gave an idea of upcoming events and shows that the next month will be full of events.
We’ll introduce you to all the highlights and reveal which events are particularly exciting.
All raid bosses in March 2021
This is what happens in raids: It was already announced beforehand that Demeteros, Voltolos, and Boreos will celebrate their debut in spirit animal form. But now it is clear: before that, the incarnation forms of the Pokémon appear again.
Here you can see the times of the legendary raids:
- From March 1 to March 6, the Demeteros incarnation form appears in level 5 raids.
- From March 6 to March 11 there will be the incarnation of Boreos
- From March 11 to March 16, the incarnation form of Voltolos appears in level 5 raids.
- From March 16 to March 30, Voltolos’ spirit animal form appears in legendary raids.
- Starting March 30, the Boreos Spirit Animal Form will be available in level 5 raids for an indefinite period.
Every Wednesday of the month there will also be a raid hour with the respective Legendary Pokémon. On Monday March 15th there will be an additional raid hour.
¿Hay Shinys? Yes, all forms of incarnation also appear as Shiny in the game. This is the first time these glowing shapes have appeared in the game. Spirit Animal Forms, however, will not be available as glitters.

This is what happens in mega raids: Here there will also be rotation. Starting on March 16, there will be a new Mega Pokémon in raids. However, no information is available yet.
Bonus Hours and Care in March
These are the hours of attention: There will also be an hour of attention every Tuesday in March. To do this, he focuses on a special Pokémon for an hour, which then appears everywhere.
In March there are the following hours:
- March 2, 2021: Krabby is in the spotlight and there are also the double candies to send Pokémon
- March 9, 2021: Traumato appears here with special frequency and there is double XP to develop Pokémon
- March 16, 2021: Voltobal is particularly common here and you get double the stardust for catching Pokémon
- March 23, 2021: Gehweiher is the Pokémon in this featured lesson, and you get double XP per Pokémon caught
- March 30, 2021: It’s about snail magic and you get double candy for catching Pokémon
These are overtime: There will be an additional lesson on the 3rd Thursdays of the month. There will be a special bonus for one hour:
- March 4, 2021: Team GO Rocket balloons appear more frequently in the game
- March 11, 2021: You get more Candy for Pokémon caught if they are the same type as your current Mega Evolution
- March 18, 2021: One hour of raid with Mega Pokémon that appear one more hour

Research progress in March 2021
This is the progress of the investigation: You can wait this month, because Kaumalat will appear in the trailer. You will earn Research Breakthrough when you complete a Field Research for 7 days.
This is particularly useful, because Hard Lettuce is usually a very rare Pokémon and therefore you are guaranteed to get it at least once a week and hopefully even in dazzling form.
In the advance you have the possibility of Shiny Hardly Salad.
How long has the breakthrough been there? You can grab Kaumalat in advance until April 1 at 10:00 PM German time. It starts here from March 1 at 10:00 p.m.
Hard lettuce is so special: The fourth generation Pokémon is considered one of the rarest monsters in the game. Especially right after launch, Kaumalat could hardly be found.
In the meantime, there have been a few events, including the GO Fest, where Kaumalat happened a bit more often. Outside of events, the Pokémon is still very rare.
The shiny form, in particular, is rare and in high demand, because hunting hard lettuce is already difficult. When you’ve found one, you need luck for the dazzling shape. Fortunately, which has probably not been given to many coaches so far.
Special investigation with Giovanni
This is what happens to Giovanni: Team Rocket’s boss returns to Pokémon GO and you can defeat her again in a special investigation. In March, the boss will have a Crypto Arktos with him, which you can catch after the fight.
This special investigation begins on February 28 at 12:00 noon. Then there will also be a special investigation with Giovanni in the coming months. This is the plan:
- March 2021: Here Giovanni is fighting Crypto Arktos
- April 2021: Giovanni has Crypto Zapdos with him
- May 2021: Here you have to face Giovanni with Crypto Lavados
Giovanni brings Crypto Arktos into battle again.
What do you have to do in a special investigation? This is still not entirely clear. In the past, however, the investigation with Giovanni was similar.
You had to fight the bully and the bosses Cliff, Arlo and Sierra. Only then did you unlock the Super Rocket Radar for the encounter with Giovanni.
These 5 events await you
A total of 5 more events have been announced, taking place in March 2021. We give you an overview here.
Looking for legend: March 9-14 is all about searching for Legendary Pokémon. It also revolves around the compass Pokémon Nasgnet, which may also appear in dazzling form for the first time. No further information is available yet.
New Smoke Day: On March 14 there will be another Smoke Day in Pokémon GO. It revolves around Pokémon Psycho and Steel, with Tanhel as the focus. Monsters of this type should be increasingly attracted to the event by smoke.
Potzblitz: From March 16 to March 22, the focus is on Electric Pokémon. This is supposed to be a completely new event, for which the exact bonuses are not yet known.
Climate week: From March 24 to March 29, everything will revolve around the weather in Pokémon GO. Above all, weather-related Pokémon should appear. A good example of this is Formeo, which adapts its shape depending on the weather.
Raid weekend: There is a special raid weekend in Pokémon GO on March 27 and 28. Legendary Pokémon are said to appear more and more there. It is still unknown what exactly awaits us there.
