However, Daniel revealed that this year is still quite challenging for animal feed issuers. Negative sentiment came from the increase in the price of raw materials used by the company for the production of animal feed such as corn and soybean meal.

The geopolitical conflict between Ukraine and Russia and the imbalance between supply and demand has made commodity prices soar, so that it will affect the increase in cost of goods which will depress company profits.

Daniel continued, one of the issuers that has the potential to continue its positive performance this year is PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA), last year JPFA earned a net profit of IDR 2.02 trillion, higher than the 2020 profit of IDR 920 billion.
