jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Head of the National Police Bareskrim Police and Coordination and Supervision (Korwas) Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo issued a letter of permission for fugitive Djoko Tjandra on his own initiative without permission from the leadership.
This was known from the results of a temporary internal police investigation into Prasetyo.
“The road letter was signed by one of the bureaus at the Criminal Investigation Police. The road letter was issued by the Bureau Chief, it was his own initiative and was not authorized by the leadership,” said National Police Public Relations Head Inspector General of Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Jakarta, Wednesday (15 / 7).
Currently, said Argo, Brig. Gen. Prasetyo Utomo is undergoing an inspection in the Indonesian Police Propam Division.
Argo added, National Police Chief General Idham Azis stated that every member of the National Police, from the Headquarters to Police Sector, would be given an award or punishment according to their performance.
“At the moment the process (examination) is underway. Propam is at work. All members who are related to the documents will all be examined. Just wait for the National Police Headquarters Division’s inspection,” Argo said.
Earlier, Chairman of the IPW Presidium Neta S Pane said that the travel document that had been used by Bank Bali fugitive corruption cases Djoko Tjandra was issued by the Criminal Investigation Police.
Neta said that thanks to the travel permit, Djoko was able to travel from Jakarta to West Kalimantan and his whereabouts are now unknown.
