Brigjen Pol Prasetijo Utomo Processed 14 Days in Police Headquarters

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Police Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo who made a letter of permission for fugitive claim rights (assignment) Bank Bali, Djoko Tjandra, besides being removed from his position as Karokorwas PPNS Bareskrim Polri, is now also temporarily detained at Police Headquarters.

“Starting today, he was placed in a special place for 14 days. So there is a Provost place for members and has been prepared starting tonight,” said Police Public Relations Kadiv Brigadier General Argo Yuwono during a press conference at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday (Wednesday) 7/15) night.

“If the examination is placed in a special place. Just hold it there for 14 days,” Argo explained again when confirmed in a question and answer session.

Argo said investigators from Divpropam Polri also would not stop. He also believes they will explore the alleged involvement of other parties.

“If we do, we will process it later,” he said.

Earlier, Argo said National Police Chief General Pol Idham Azis sent a telegram which contained its contents to remove Prasetjo Utomo from his position.

The existence of an odd travel permit for Djoko Tjandra was previously reported by the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Community Coordinator (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman, who then submitted a copy of the evidence to the DPR’s Commission III.

To note, Djoko Tjandra is a high-class fugitive. who ensnared him in 1997. He has been a fugitive since 2009, and is thought to have settled in Papua New Guinea.

In the midst of the fugitive, the public then shook because Djoko Tjandra had filed a Review (PK) and came directly to the South Jakarta District Court on June 8.

Not only that, before coming to the South Jakarta District Court, he was known in the morning to come to Grogol Selatan Village to record population data, photos, and get a KTP directly used to apply for PK.

Neither in the Grogol Selatan village or in South Jakarta District Court there were no surveillance cameras (CCTV) that recorded his presence on the pretext of technical problems in each place.

In the not too distant future, Djoko Tjandra was also known to have recorded data and photographs to obtain a new passport at the North Jakarta Immigration Office.

The notice as an international people search list (DPO) via the red notice of Djoko Tjandra on Interpol was apparently removed since 2014.

Red notice is a request to find and detain a suspect who is on the wanted list (DPO). The Red Notice was issued by Interpol at the request of the National Police, to limit the travel of suspects abroad.

For the removal of Djoko Tjandra’s red notice, Argo said that the National Police was examining a number of its personnel in the International Relations Division of the National Police regarding this matter.
