Brigitte Macron visiting Reims? The information was only revealed the same day on social networks. It is as president of LIVE (The Institute of Vocations for Employment) that the wife of the Head of State visited the city of Coronations this Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
In one of the buildings that stand on rue de Talleyrand, she visited, in the company of Olivier Théophile, general director of LIVE and the mayor of Reims, Arnaud Robinet, the future offices which will host in March 2024 the first Reims class of the LIVE Institute.
Created by the LVMH group (owner of Parisien – Today in France), it is a school reserved for people far from employment and aged over 25. For five months, fifty unemployed adults will be coached thirty hours per week. “They will be supported to find their place in working life and build a real professional project,” explains Olivier Théophile.
A sixth campus will open in Le Havre
In France, four other LIVE campuses already exist in Marseille, Valence, Clichy-sous-Bois and Roubaix. Two classes of fifty people are trained there annually. Candidates are sent to LVMH by local missions or Pôle emploi. “Here too, we want to work with local integration players. We want to join their network because the objective is to professionally reintegrate candidates from the Rémois region.”
They will follow lessons from various speakers: written and oral communication, digital courses, public speaking, collective work, culture, etc. In total, the candidates will follow 540 hours of training and two weeks of internship. A computer will be loaned to them by LVMH and a bonus of 1,000 euros allocated each month.
After Reims, a sixth institute will also open its doors in Le Havre in September 2024.
