Brigitte Loire, daughter of Gabriel Loire, master glassmaker who had founded his workshop in Chartres then in Lèves in 1946, died on May 26 at the age of 86 in Mexico City, capital of Mexico, but the information does not was made public only this Thursday, June 16.

“I’ve never seen her in a nun’s dress, always in jeans and sneakers,” recalls her nephew and godson, Bruno Loire. For the family, it’s a new blow since Brigitte’s brother, Jacques, died almost a year ago, on June 29, 2021.

A retrospective in 2015
The Chartrains were able to discover his talent during a retrospective entitled “Vers la lumière” at the stained glass gallery in 2015. About forty works, inspired by water, air, flora and fauna, were offered in the public eye. She was cremated in Mexico.
