‘Family’ viewers have known for a while: Brigitte doesn’t want Lars and Raven to meet up with Leon because he raped her in the past. However, she refused to give her son and grandson for a reason, but that finally changed in tonight’s episode.

Initially Brigitte made it clear to Raven and Lars that they have to make a choice: her or Leon. It just turns out that it isn’t that simple after all. Lars doesn’t like his mother’s behavior and demands an explanation. Brigitte has no choice but to confess why Leon is such a monster. “He raped me. Leon violently raped me.”
