Chelsea visits the Amex Stadium, Wednesday (19/1/2022) early in the morning WIB in continued Premier League. Chelsea closed the first half winning 1-0 thanks to Hakim Ziyech’s kick from outside the penalty box.

Brighton increased the intensity of their attacks in the second half and managed to equalize in the 60th minute through Adam Webster’s header. The 1-1 score lasted until the long whistle sounded.

Chelsea stuck at number three standings Premier League with 44 points from 23 matches. While Brighton is in ninth position with 29 points from 21 matches.

The course of the match

Brighton started well and showed intent to push back against Chelsea. Jakub Moder received a header near the box and tried to finish with a shot. His shot went wide.

Chelsea threatened back in the 15th minute. Romelu Lukaku pushed the ball to Cesar Azpilicueta and was struck with a first-time shot into the top right corner. The ball can be driven away by Robert Sanchez, Brighton goalkeeper.

GOAL! Chelsea took the lead in the 28th minute. Getting the ball from N’Golo Kante, Hakim Ziyech fired a low low shot from distance which Sanchez failed to stop.

Another pressure from Chelsea in the 31st minute. Marcos Alonso slipped through on the left and sent in a cross which was cleared by Sanchez. Wild ball fell in front of the penalty box and was struck by Jorginho, but shot over the goal.

Chelsea had another chance in the 45th minute. Callum Hudson-Odoi broke free down the right and fired an uncontrollable shot while Mason Mount waited for a pass in the middle. The first half ended.

Brighton started the second half with more attacking initiative. But a number of attacks that were built raw, with the hosts having difficulty penetrating into the penalty box.

Chance for Brighton in the 60th minute. Alexis Mac Allister found the ball in the penalty box and his shot hit a Chelsea defender, only to be saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

GOAL! From the corner obtained, Brighton equalized the score. Mac Allister’s bait was struck by Adam Webster’s header which escaped the guard. The ball slid into the Chelsea goal.

Chelsea tried their luck from distance in the 66th minute. Alonso shot darted thin over the goal.

Another opportunity for Chelsea in the 72nd minute. Lukaku slipped through on the left in the box, but his shot was cleared off the pitch by Sanchez.

Sharpness attack both teams began to decline into the last minute. Mateo Kovacic’s attempt from in front of the penalty box in the 89th minute grabbed the ball from a corner which was still high.

The score does not change again until the game is over. Brighton Vs Chelsea ended 1-1.
