Brighton beat Chelsea 4-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, giving Graham Potter his first defeat as coach of the Blues. After a good start under Potter, Chelsea lost points with draws against Brentford and Manchester United before the defeat.
Immediately after 14 minutes, Brighton were up 2-0 with goals from Leandro Trossard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, while Trevoh Chalobah added a third before half-time. Christian Pulisic managed to serve for Chelsea, but his shot went wide in front of the desert gate. It was Kai Havertz who scored early in the second half, but Pascal Gross scored fourth for the hosts in injury time.
