Brighton & Hove Albion is at the top of the Premier League standings after two weeks. It’s still early, but the manager Robert De Zerbi have their own target!
Brighton mighty in the beginning Premier League 2023/2024. Brighton won with a landslide score of 4-1 respectively over Luton Town and Wolves.
These results brought Brighton & Hove Albion temporarily topped the English league standings. Brighton has collected six points from two matches, the points are the same as Manchester City and Arsenal below but superior on goal difference.
manager Brighton, Robert De Zerbi said his team would continue to grow. It’s not just a matter of physical and tactical play, but also mental!
“We played very well. We will continue to be better, develop mentally, because there are big targets,” he said BBC.
“To achieve it (that target-ed), we have to play for 90 minutes,” he added.
Robert De Zerbi did not specify what the big target is. However, it is believed Brighton really want to be a title challenger in the Premier League this season or at least finish in the top flight!
Brighton last season successfully finished sixth and was able to win a ticket to the Europa League for the first time. Brighton last season, when polished by De Zerbi, was also able to silence giant clubs.
Brighton was able to hold Man City 1-1, shave Arsenal 3-0, silence MU 1-0, beat Liverpool 3-0, and beat Chelsea 2-1.
“I am lucky to have an extraordinary squad, a mixture of junior and senior players. We know that we have great potential,” he said.
“My job is to push every player so they can reach their maximum point,” he concluded.
