The streets in the village of Parvenets shone with new street lighting. Residents and guests of the beautiful Rhodope village are now enjoying new LED lamps that provide better visibility when lighting the streets and are highly energy efficient.
“The village now looks completely different in the evening. The streets are much brighter and more welcoming than before. I am convinced that we have created a more suitable environment for walking, relaxing and moving around. I hope to reduce domestic crime and the prerequisites from traffic accidents”, commented the mayor of “Rodopi” Municipality Pavel Mihailov.
In the village, more than 500 old street lamps were replaced with new energy-saving LED lighting fixtures, and the energy saving will be up to 60%.
“In this way, we will recover the investment very quickly, and in the coming years there will be more funds for infrastructure and other projects,” said Mayor Pavel Mihailov.
Replacement of the old street lamps with new LED lighting fixtures will be carried out in all settlements according to the project of the municipality. The activities have already taken place in Kadievo, Markovo and Brestovitsa.
