Family Brigadier J open voice regarding the deactivation of the Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as Kadiv Propam Polri by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Monday (18/7).
The deactivation is known as the aftermath of the shooting that killed Brigadier J at the Sambo residence on Friday (8/7).
Brigadier J’s family through Johnson Pandjaitan’s attorney admitted that his party did not want to have a polemic regarding the removal.

“The important thing for us and our families is to evaluate weapons and focus on legal events, namely murder. We don’t want to have a polemic regarding the deactivation of the Propam Headquarters,” he told reporters, Tuesday (19/7).
However, his party suggested that the deactivation should not stop only with the figure of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. According to him, the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi and the Karo Paminal Divpropam Polri Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan also need to be deactivated.
Because, he considered both parties could influence the investigation of this case.
“Soon for the sake of fairness and smooth and open handling of this case. Especially if the crime scene looks like a big problem, regarding the replacement for the Propam Kadiv, we don’t want to be involved in that problem,” he said.
Previously, Listyo claimed to have disabled Ferdy Sambo so that the investigation into the shooting case could be carried out properly and optimally and to avoid speculation.
Listyo emphasized that the National Police would be transparent and accountable in investigating the shooting of Brigadier J. He has also appointed the Deputy Chief of the National Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy, to carry out the duties of the Head of the Propam Police Division to replace Sambo.
“Of course, we can maintain what we have done so far regarding our commitment to maintaining objectivity, transparency and accountability,” he said.
Brigadier J is said to have died in a shooting incident with Bharada E at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo’s house at the Duren Tiga Police Complex, South Jakarta, Friday (8/7). However, the incident was only revealed on Monday (11/7).
Both Brigadier J and Bharada E were Ferdy’s aides. Brigadier J served as driver for Ferdy’s wife, while Bharada E was in charge of protecting the family of the Head of the Propam Division.
The police claimed that the shooting was initiated by Brigadier J’s alleged abuse of Sambo’s wife.
Police said Brigadier J fired a total of seven shots, which Bharada E returned five times. None of the bullets hit Bharada E. While Bharada E’s shot hit Brigadier J dead.
Currently, the National Police Chief has formed a special team to investigate the incident. In addition, Komnas HAM also conducted an independent investigation into the shooting case.
