Brigadier J Case, Advocate Urges Police Special Team to Check Ferdy Sambo

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Law Enforcement and Justice Advocates Team (TAMPAK) urges a special police team to examine important witnesses in the death case Brigadier Jincluding the inactive Head of the Propam Police Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

TAMPAK is the team that oversees the case of Brigadier J’s death. Today they visited the office of the National Police Commission or Kompolnas.

TAMPAK Coordinator Robert Keytimu said the hearing with Kompolnas was to oversee the case, which had been going on for three weeks. Roberth said that the length of the investigation of the case raises questions from the public and what is the motive of this case. That’s why TAMPAK asked Kompolnas, who is part of a special team formed by the National Police Chief, to examine important witnesses, especially Ferdy Sambo.

“Because factually, the criminal incident took place at the official house of the Propam Kadiv. Because of that, legally, the first one who was called to give a statement was Ferdy Sambo’s brother. We see that there is a lot of evidence from the incident,” said Roberth after a hearing at the Kompolnas office, August 2, 2022.

He revealed that during the hearing, the Daily Chief of Kompolnas Benny Mamoto said they were working optimally. Benny Mamoto, he said, will meet the special team this afternoon and input from TAMPAK will be delivered soon.

“Do not let ART and aides be examined twice, while the most important witnesses are not examined. We said that if the most important witness is not immediately examined, this could degrade trust in the Timsus, which will be questioned by the public,” said Roberth.

The Law Enforcement & Justice Advocates Team (TAMPAK), which is a collection of a number of advocates, provided support for the disclosure of the alleged murder of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat in a professional, transparent and accountable manner.

“We also provide recommendations to the National Police Chief and the Criminal Investigation Police Investigator to provide information to the public about the cause of death of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat. Because the public has the right to know the cause of Brigadr Joshua’s death,” said Roberth.
