Jakarta –
Bhabinkamtibmas Haringen Village, East Barito Police, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan), Brigadier Fitriani Maisyarah, was selected as the recipient Hoegeng Awards 2023 Dedicated Police category. Fitriani advised other policewomen to keep their spirits up.
“I also advised my younger siblings. The policewomen who carry out their duties as Bhabinkamtibmas should be even more enthusiastic. This is the beginning and you are the next Hoegeng Awards in the following years,” said Fitriani at The Tribrata, Friday (14/7/2023 ).
Fitriani hopes that in the future policewomen will continue to emerge who have high dedication to serve the community. He asked them to go directly to hear people’s complaints and find existing solutions.
“I hope that policewomen will emerge who have high dedication to serving the police, not only in service units, but also in operations and going to the field,” he said.
Fitriani was pleased with the award she received at the event held detikcom the. He also thanked the public for believing in him as one of the nominees and finally being chosen as the winner.
Fitriani hopes that in the future the categories in the Hoegeng Awards will increase, not only focusing on the 5 categories this year.
“I hope that the categories will be added. So that later those who participate will not only be limited to these 5 categories. There are many other categories, there are still many other official branches in the police,” he concluded.

Brigadier Fitriani was proposed by a resident of Haringen Village named Muhammad Dandi Saputra. Dandi recounted the struggle of Brigadier Fitriani in suppressing the number of forest fires in several ways. One of them is by modifying the ranmor (motorized vehicle) as an alternative firefighting tool in the target village.
Brigadier Fitriani is said to often gather the community and socialize, especially to land owners, about the dangers of forest fires.
Flash floods hit the Haringen Village area in 2021. At that time, according to another resident named Frendi, Brigadier Fitriani continued to distribute aid to the community amidst the flash floods.
The flood cut off access to transportation. However, Brigadier Fitriani continued to distribute aid using makeshift equipment.
Frendi also said that Brigadier Fitriani was quick to respond to public complaints, one of which was related to forest fires. According to him, he is a police officer who is active in the community compared to other police officers.
“In the past, the police were not very active, when Mrs. Fitri was just active, she counted with the community. If there was a report from the community, the response was quick. So if there is smoke, we call her mother, there is a fire here, she comes while bringing related agencies like fire extinguisher and police car with water shot,” said Frendi.
Brigadier Fitriani Maisyarah has been the Bhabinkamtibmas of Haringen Village since 2019. The area where she is assigned is said to be one of the smoke contributors in Indonesia.
“Until the school children were closed for 2 weeks because of the smoke, in our place it was quite thick. Incidentally I was given responsibility, the Regional Police Chief’s program to reduce hotspots. Then we got a village where fires often occur. the location is in the forest to go inside,” said Brigadier Fitriani.
According to him, there used to be hotspots every day in Haringen Village. One of the reasons is the community’s farming system, which still burns forests to clear land.
Brigadier Fitriani said that the forest fires that occurred in East Barito Regency were most likely due to human activities. Every time he comes to the point of fire, there are always people waiting for the fire.
This gave Brigadier Fitriani a dilemma. Because on the other hand, people do it because of their work. He discussed with local village officials to find solutions so that people would not lose their livelihoods, but forest fires would not have a wide impact on the community. Finally, an approach was made to the community, so that they coordinate with each other when they want to clear land.
Another effort he made to prevent forest fires was to make a modified vehicle that could reach into the middle of the forest. The vehicle was created while participating in an innovation creation competition from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police.
“I have submitted an application to use the ranmor which was handed over to the Accident Unit. I submitted, given 1 unit of vehicle with an engine that could be opened, it was given a tool to suck up water. We still provide a water suction machine, so there can be 2 alternatives. Motorcycles complete with the hose, we use it to put out the fire,” he said.
Currently, he continued, there are almost no forest fires in Haringen Village. The land there is now ready for planting.
