Rumors that the relationship was over arose on February 14 (Valentine’s Day), when the two did not share loving messages about each other on social media. The couple regularly shared photos of each other.
“Because of the pressure on our relationship and all the attention that was given to it, we decided to put an end to it,” said Maasland and Hazes in a response to the program for which the presenter works.
The 45-year-old presenter and the 26-year-old singer announced that they had a relationship in November. That news followed very briefly that Hazes and Monique Westenberg were separated.
