The injured have been taken to hospitals. According to the administration, the bridge is about 40 years old. The movement of heavy vehicles was stopped on this.

According to the information, several vehicles including a dumper and a motorcycle fell into the river below due to the collapse of the bridge in Vastadi area of ​​Surendranagar district of Gujarat on Sunday. According to initial reports, at least 10 people were swept away in the incident and four have been rescued. The search for the remaining six people is going on.

According to media reports, District Collector KC Sampat said regarding this incident that this bridge is 40 years old. It connects the National Highway to Chura. This bridge is in a dilapidated condition, the authorities had already banned the movement of heavy vehicles on this bridge. The Collector said that the bridge has already been handed over to the Roads and Buildings Department and approval has also been given to build a new structure.

According to initial information, the bridge collapsed when a dumper tried to cross it. Orders have been given to investigate the incident.
