It is in mid-May that the Bricobus of the association of Compagnons builders Provence will be activated and hit the road. It was presented at Var-Habitat headquarters in Valletta on Wednesday.
“It is a multi-service mobile platform that serves six residences in the Metropolis managed by Var-Habitat Méditerranée, Toulon-Habitat and Erilia. She will crisscross Toulon-Ouest and Hyères with volunteers on board to carry out small daily work in the accommodation. explains Estelle Ventoura, president of the Compagnons.
Le Jonquet, the Logis de Châteauvallon, la Florane, la Cigalière, and in Hyères the Val des Rougières and La Palmeraie: these first residences represent nearly 1,900 homes and will benefit from the assistance of volunteer technicians for daily work.

Which? “It can be very basic: changing a curtain rod, mounting shelves, checking a tap…”, explains Djamal Ameziane, linchpin of the project.

This is one of the first times in the Var that such a Bricobus travels closer to tenants. “It also allows you to establish a lasting social relationship with the inhabitants of the various HLMs”, welcomed Thierry Albertini, chairman of the board of directors of Var-Habitat.

Representing the Var prefecture, Agnès Bonjean wished the project good luck, especially as DIY workshops will be organized for the volunteers of the HLM residences. “Tool loans are also provided for those who want to improve their skills”added Djamal.
The Métropole TPM, Humanis, the Caisse d’allocations familiales du Var, Enedis and the Castorama foundation were on the front line to bring this “partnership initiative”.
