The police are in Møllergata in Oslo where they have been notified of a landslide inside a nightclub. Plaster and bricks have fallen on the dance floor.
– All emergency services are on their way, and the guests have begun to evacuate themselves.
It is currently unknown how extensive this is, the police in Oslo write on Twitter.
In an update, the police write that a person has received a brick in the head as a result of the landslide. It is unclear if more are injured.
The operations manager at the Oslo police district tells VG that plaster and bricks have fallen out on the dance floor, and that at one point it was a bit chaotic.
– The emergency services have come in now and are working to get an overview. But there was a bit of chaos initially, when people began to evacuate themselves, says the operations manager.
– A woman has received a brick in the head and is taken care of by health on site. She is partly conscious. There is less than one square meter of ceiling in the ceiling that has collapsed. It was plaster, but over the plaster there was brick, says section leader Viktor Furøy in the Oslo police to VG on the spot.
He says that another woman has been hit, but that she is not injured.
– The fire alarm went off immediately and guests were evacuated quickly and efficiently, so they have done everything right here. It is now being considered whether they can reopen. The fire brigade is now inside and examining the building, says Furøy.
VG has spoken to witnesses at the scene, who say that they were standing and dancing when it suddenly slipped a little from the roof. They say that one person was injured – something the police have also confirmed.
What has slipped out on the nightclub should be about 0.5 sqm.
The owner has decided that the nightclub will be closed, the police write on Twitter.
– The guests who have been inside the place will get help to retrieve assets. The police are opening a case.
