Brian May thinks there will be no sequel to Bohemian Rhapsody | NOW

Queen guitarist Brian May deems it unlikely that there will be a sequel to the multi-award winning film Bohemian Rhapsody , he says in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“The film has been simplified and there are a million events in our career that cannot be seen in the film, but there is not really anything for a film anymore. There will be no sequel.”

The 2018 film, which raised more than $ 900 million, ended with lead singer Freddie Mercury told in 1985 that he was infected with HIV. Rumors of a sequel soon followed.

A sequel could be about how Mercury set up his last years to fight his disease (AIDS). According to May, this story is not uplifting. “It is a great story, but not one we want to tell right now.”

“We’ve been thinking and talking about it and things can always change, but it will be very difficult,” said May.

Last week, the English rock group released a video in tribute to healthcare and other aid workers. Before that, the band has the big hit We Are The Champions changed in You Are The Champions.
