Brian May: Queen legend suffered a stroke – “I don’t want the pity” (Video) – 2024-09-05 16:03:40

Queen guitarist Brian May has revealed that he suffered a stroke. The 77-year-old legendary Queen musician, in a video shared today (04.09.2024) on his personal website, said that he has difficulty using his left hand but can still play the guitar despite a “minor health problem”.

“I’m here to bring you some good news – the good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days,” he said, snapping his fingers for emphasis.

“I say that because there was some doubt because that little health problem I mentioned happened about a week ago and they called it a little stroke.”



Brian revealed that the incident left him temporarily unable to use his left arm – but that he had a “very exciting” ambulance ride to Frimley Hospital in Surrey, Britain.

He praised the staff there for the “most fantastic care” they gave him.

“I didn’t want to say anything at the time, because I didn’t want anything to happen, you know. I really don’t want pity,” he added.
