In the Odessa region, American and Ukrainian divers raised the sunken so-called “Brezhnev’s boat” to the surface. This is stated in the TSN plot.
It is reported that after the collapse of the USSR, the yacht was brought here by a local businessman to restore it. Luxurious Petrel stood in the harbor until it sank in a winter storm five years ago. The boat lay at the bottom and prevented the ships from mooring.
It is clarified that so far the attempts to lift the 150-ton vessel have been in vain. The American divers, who came to the Sea Breeze international exercise, agreed to the special operation to raise.
Together with the divers of the Ukrainian Navy and with the help of a floating crane, they were able to get the hull of the boat to the surface.
Earlier it was reported that near Odessa, specialists from a specialized unit of the US Navy Underwater Construction Team One conducted underwater inspection work and hydrographic measurements in the area of one of the berths of the port of Yuzhny.
