Two compensation schemes for loss of turnover were opened today on the FranceAgriMer website until August 31, 2021 at the following address: https://www.franceagrimer.fr/filiere-peche-et-aquaculture/Accompagner/Aides-Brexit
The compensation for loss of turnover linked to the consequences of Brexit aims to improve the resilience of the sector, which must face major structural changes as well as a succession of crises. It relates to :
- Fishing companies dependent on resources shared with the United Kingdom, and dependent on the waters of the United Kingdom, the Faroe Islands or waters under Norwegian sovereignty, or who encounter difficulties in accessing certain fishing areas. This aid is complementary and cannot be combined over the same period, with the aid for temporary ship stoppages deployed elsewhere.
- Fish trading companies supplying themselves mainly with aquatic products from landing sites dependent on fishing in the waters of the United Kingdom, the Faroe Islands or under Norwegian sovereignty.
A budget of 20 million euros is dedicated to these two devices.
