Brexit News: THREE countries could leave the bloc as Brussels panicked over a triple hit | Politics

Alexandra Phillips, a former Brexit Party MEP, confirmed that a new alliance had been forged between her party with Italexit by Gianluigi Paragone, Generation Frexit by Charles-Henri Gallois and SOMOS España led by Luis Carlos Nogues. The Eurosceptic group hopes that its Eurexit movement it can help start a debate on the benefits of leaving the European Union across the bloc.

Mr Nogues told Express.co.uk: “We are just getting started”.

The left-wing Spanish politician said his party took Brexit as an “inspiration” to launch its long-awaited campaign to remove Spain from the EU.

He said: “We see Brexit as a kind of inspiration, but it is not the only inspiration.

“We have our own reasons to believe that we must leave the European Union as soon as possible.

“We also believe that the European Union will fall in a few decades, perhaps sooner.

“But our responsibility and our duty is to consult people and make them aware.

“They need to know that we are under an undemocratic Frankenstein and they are holding back our national economic growth.”

“We are not talking about telling the French or Italians how to govern their country when they become independent from the European Union.

“We just want to fight together to make the Eurexit movement international.”

Generation Frexit founder Charles-Henri Gallois also told Express.co.uk last week that he believed partnering with parties across the bloc would open the door for more EU discussions in France.

He said: “I am in favor of Frexit, but it is not just a Frexit project.

“The conditions to enter the EU have changed a lot since the Maastricht Treaty, because it would be quite normal, if you are a Democrat, because the conditions change to consult the citizens and ask them if they still want to stay in the European Union or not.

“We have this great platform, this great project on a referendum on Frexit just like the British had a referendum on Brexit.”

He added: “I think it is in the interest of each country, so we will continue to work with our Italian friends and others.”

Nogues said parties are also getting involved in the Netherlands and Ireland.

Others before them have managed to fight against the political powers of the EU.

Matteo Salvini, Marine Le Pen and Viktor Orban led a successful joint campaign ahead of the 2019 European elections.

Nigel Farage in the UK also saw his then new party, the Brexit Party, triumph with 29 seats in the European Parliament.
