Britain’s exit from the European Union has been a success, according to political expert Mark Roche, who said Britain is “in a better position than Europe.” Roche, writing for the French weekly Le Point, said Britain can expect its economy to return again while the European Union could suffer until the end of the year. Speaking to BBC Dateline London, the French expert was asked how Chancellor Rishi Sunak will handle the next budget on Wednesday, which is also the first post-Brexit budget.

“The Brexit challenge is not what we expected.
“Because the impact will be in the medium term on foreign investment, and if they will use the United Kingdom as a springboard to Europe or will only serve the national market.
“In addition to the small problems that we have seen, Brexit has been a great short-term success for the government, and the government doesn’t have to worry too much about it.

He went on to compare Britain’s economic position with that of the European Union, telling the BBC: “Britain is in a good position, better than Europe.
“The success of the vaccines has given an optimistic factor and the economy can be excluded from the recovery as it is in the United States during the summer.
“Europe will wait until the fourth quarter to return.”
The comments came as Sonak prepares to start the British economy after the shutdown.

It will also announce the location of 10 free zones in the UK to help boost post-Brexit trade and manufacturing.
Mr. Sunak claimed that these free outlets, where goods can be imported without paying import duties, could “add to the cost” of economic recovery.
Elsewhere, in the European Union, a slow vaccine launch program has clouded the bloc’s economic outlook.
In 2020, the eurozone suffered the worst decline in its history, according to the European Union statistics agency.
Countries like Spain, Belgium, Italy and France already face projected budget deficits that exceed EU norms.
